Thesis Wordpress Theme Review

If you are using Wordpress to power your website or blog then you have probably tried a few of the different free themes available. Then you’ve probably installed SEO for wordpress along with countless other plugins to make your site even more sexy looking. But to keep these plugins up to date is a bit of a pain and most of the free themes available are not fully customizable.

Solution – Get the Thesis theme! Every single wordpress website I administer is powered by the Thesis theme and the latest version 1.6 is sweet. Remember the old days when you need dreamweaver to change the link colours, fonts and all of the other css stuff – well you can administer nearly every aspect of how your website looks directly from the wp-admin control panel.

Which means a heap of time saved so you can do more important stuff like creating content for your website. The Zagon reviews website is powered by Thesis and I’ve tried literally hundreds of different themes and plugins over the past few years – nothing comes close to ease of use, installation and the ability to custom design everything.

What I really like is the SEO settings thesis installs. Everything that the “All in One SEO Pack” for wordpress installs, thesis covers so can get type your  meta title and description (plus more) quickly.

What I don’t like about the Thesis theme…

Now this is my only quam about Thesis, it’s the ability to easily create rounded corners. Yes it can be done, but you have to read the forums (which are an awesome resource btw) to work out what corners you want rounded.

The other thing I would like to see is the Thesis Openhook plugin incorporated into Thesis itself. This allows you to add custom code literally anywhere on your sites layout which great for adsense code and other html coding.

Anyway, check out the video on the Thesis website to see what I’m talking about, with over a million sites using thesis, this theme is doing lots of stuff right.
